Rama First Nation has enjoyed hosting the Mother's Day and Thanksgiving Powwows for many years but inclement, unpredictable weather limited attendance and made these celebrations indoor events.

At this time, there are no plans to continue these events.

Rama First Nation established a permanent outdoor Powwow and Ceremonial Grounds at Black River Wilderness Park this year. Our community held its first Powwow celebration on this site earlier this year, from August 27 to 28th. The event attracted record numbers and we look forward to holding future events on this site.
